Programs

Artist Workshops: We offer a multitude of workshops that focus on traditional and classic crafts and skills. Workshops are held throughout the year on a rotating schedule depending on season and instructors. Most of our instructors are local craftsman but some come from far and wide to share their crafts. Topics include fireplace cooking, blacksmithing, quilting, syrup making, and a variety of other classes that teach you the ways of the past. Please call or email today for a current schedule.

Scouting: A visit to the Settlement can enrich the experiences of both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, as well as help them earn merit badges. Our programs, which range from ecology and camping to history and crafts, can be customized to meet the needs of each troop, regardless of scouting level. Scout leaders are encouraged to call the Settlement office to arrange a one-day, overnight or weekend visit for their troops.

Scouts can select from the list below to make a weekend agenda full of activities. It will cost $10.00 per person per night (Scout Leaders are free). This includes Tour of Settlement, scheduled activities, trails, and tent camping on premises.
